Frank Dixie
Chair

Frank has been here in Wickham for 10 years now, although it’s hard to remember a time before he was our local landlord.

The best thing about Wickham is…

The Square Cow! ;0)

And the village community. It really is a “community” and everyone knows each other and gets involved.

The best business advice is…

“Never listen to an accountant” (Sorry, accountants!). Instead of that, how about, “Always go with your gut”. Trust your instincts and you won’t go too wrong.

In my spare time…

I play guitar, I write and I enjoy a round of golf. You’ll often see me walking my dog.

Louise Hinchliffe
Secretary

Despite only living and working in Wickham for a year, Louise is one of Wickham’s biggest advocates.

The best thing about Wickham is…

the people. Everyone is incredibly friendly and supportive and there is a real community spirit. The variety of shops and businesses in the village also means that you don’t actually need to go anywhere else – you can get everything you need right here!

The best business advice is…

“Do what you love!” – We spend too much time working to not enjoy what we do for a living. That and “Be honest”.

In my spare time…

my favourite thing to do is probably to read crime thrillers or watch true crime documentaries. I find criminal psychology fascinating.

Sandy Taylor
Treasurer

I have worked in Wickham for 2 years as Sue Ryder Shop Manager. I wish I could live here though!

The best thing about Wickham is…

the community spirit. There is always something going on here – the Music Festival, Taste of Wickham, Christmas Lights Switch On – and lots of amazing people and volunteers help ensure that everything runs smoothly and goes well.

The best business advice is…

“Know your customers” as well as “Keep your displays looking fresh!”

In my spare time…

my favourite thing to do is wander around charity shops. I am always on the look out for ideas on how I can make mine better.

Nigel Prior
Police Liaison

It feels like Nigel has been a key member of the Wickham community forever.

Nigel is the Meon Valley Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator and Police Liaison Officer for our Chamber of Trade.

When he’s not busy giving advice on crime prevention, security and keeping your business safe, you’ll often find Nigel drinking coffee in Warwick Lane.

Nigel is a member of the Walking Club as well as a member of the Pickleball Club. He is also involved with the Men’s Breakfasts and does plenty of volunteering too.
